Originating in the Soviet Union in the late nineteenth century, beef stroganoff became an instant hit in many other regions like the Middle East, North America, Europe, Brazil, Lebanon, Australia, and Portugal. Regardless to say, the original recipe for this dish underwent numerous transitions over the years as its popularity kept increasing.

Ingredients for making Beef Stroganoff:
One pound of sirloin steak cut into small strips.
One onion finely chopped.
One and a half tablespoons of all-purpose flour.
¾ teaspoon salt.
A quarter of a teaspoon of paprika.
1/8 of a teaspoon of crushed black pepper.
Ten and a half ounces of condensed cream of mushroom soup.
Eight ounces of egg noodles.
¼ cup of fat-free sour cream.
Directions to prepare Beef Stroganoff:
Once you have got all these ingredients in place, you will want to start cooking immediately. Here is how to do it.
Cook all the strips of beef in a skillet until it is brown.
Drain the excess fat used for cooking.
Add the onion and continue cooking for about five minutes.
Now add the flour, paprika, crushed black pepper, and the salt to the mixture.
Stir it well.
Pour the soup in, reduce the heat to about medium-low and let it cook for 15 minutes.
Add the sour cream to it and continue stirring.
The egg noodles are to prepare according to the directions given on the packet.
